Farnborough based mortgage company, Portillion has withdrawn its FSA application, closed its shop and made all the staff redundant.

This is sad news for the people of Farnborough, and for the mortgage market in general. Mortgage companies such as Portillion are important to ensure the public can obtain independent advice regarding their mortgage options.
Although not based in Farnborough, Hampshire based PKS, an independent mortgage and insurance broker, is willing to provide advice to any of Portillion's clients that require help with their mortgages or insurances.
Paul Skinner, from Hampshire mortgage broker PKSPaul Skinner, managing director of PKS, said "It is a shame to see yet another mortgage company close its doors. Unfortunately the industry is contracting, and consumers will find it more and more diffucult to find reliable, local, independent advice.
"At PKS we are very much open for business, and we would be delighted to help any of Portillion's customers that now find themselves without access to advice. Although we are not in Farnborough, Odiham is only a few miles away."
If you would like to speak to an adviser about your options, please call PKS on the number at the top of the page, or click here to send an email. Our initial advice is free and you are under no obligation to use our services.
